FRANCIS BYRNE
Francis has worked in sound since he was 17. Starting first as a live sound engineer, then music production and then into Film and TV location recording.
Since then he has worked on well over 100 TVC's. Documentary titles like AACTA Award winning Hipsters, Have You Seen The Listers and Making Their Mark. TV titles such as, Puberty Blues, Underbelly, A Place To Call Home, Doctor Doctor. Films, OtherLife, Rams, Killing Ground which he was nominated for Best Sound in a Feature Film at the 2017 AACTA Awards.
With the latest gear, an enthusiasm for story telling and capturing great performances, Francis will get you the best possible sound product for your project.

Francis Byrne was nominated for an AACTA Award for his sound recording on my first feature, Killing Ground. He well deserved it. The film was entirely shot on location in a park next door to the Holdsworth Army Base (where they conducted regular live fire exercises). We were triangulated between three airports and surrounded by locals on trail bikes. Nonetheless, Francis somehow managed to get beautiful sound every single day. I love his work!'
